I don't know that they DO wish for salvation, even loosely speaking. unless you mean subconsciously wishing for it. because for the most part, materialistic hearts don't acknowledge the need for anything beyond the material world. wishing for salvation implies sincere awareness of a world outside/above/different from the material world, and a desire to get there. “Each one peering into shops, secretly staring at the reflections of others, wishing to be them, wishing to be anyone, wishing for salvation in the next sale.”
