I remember when we were very little he'd call us to the jainamaz after Isha and have us cup our hands for dua like he had. Then he'd recite this wonderful song where my little exclusively English-speaking ears could discern only Allah's name amidst the rolling words. I memorized it even before I learned Urdu and I find myself reciting it as well - a block of articulate Urdu in the midst of my English dua. It's a lovely inheritance to have. My dad has great duas.
