Go go

March 20th, 2004 by

Patience itself must surely be a patient entity.
For time, it’s cousin, is met with smiles everytime.
A sunnah observed, a sunnah performed.

This will not be eloquent. This will be brief:

I’m moving again. This time, not cities, nor states. I’m flying out of DC to Lahore. Insha-allah, there I will be met by my mother, sister and monkey neice who surely misses her Waleed mamu when she remembers.

I’m not sure where I’m headed. I’m never sure when I move.
I just know that I have to walk confidently. Confident of my Rabb.

I have to run now.

    update from JFK:

    everything is okay alhamdulillah.
Insha-Allah, I will update when I get internet access, whenever that may be.

    You’re still at JFK?

  3. Faiza Says:

    You’re moving to Lahore?

It’s so hard to keep track of you these days, Waleed, you give a new meanng to the term nomad.

Take care, stay safe, have fun! =)

Have a safe trip and a beautiful reunion with your family, Waleed.
I don’t think we ever really know where we’re headed; that’s the frustrating yet beautiful thing about life. May your destinations be well worth the wait, insha’Allah.

:) some of us are green with envy as we hear of others picking up and venturing off to new places, fresh spaces, refreshing new beginnings…. *mashallah.

i hope you have an incredible time, despite the inconsistency of not knowing where the destination will end up. anticipation is exciting though… and sometimes Allah swt is the only consistency in this dunya… and no harm in that i think… no harm at all. praying you’re havinga wonderful time bro.

For some odd reason, whenever anyone comes to Pk, I feel like doing the Simpsons point and laugh thing and saying “Hah hah, you’re in Pakistan!” All I can say in my defence is, I gots brain damage. 0_o

  7. yasmine Says:

hahaha now that’d be a great welcome, Owl. I should try that as a send-off for all friends and relatives traveling to there…with the funky nasal gloating laugh that I’m not quite sure how to transliterate: “eyyy heyynn, you’re going to Pakistan!”

  8. Tora Says:

“monkey niece who surely misses her Waleed mamu when she remembers”

oh, I’m sure she remembers. all the time.
how could she forget the mamu that hides her in washing machines and giant supermarket fridges? :-P
I just spent most of the last 10 days with my 2 yr old nephew.. subhanAllah, there really is nothing like the laugh — or the tantrum — of a child. =)
