Weekend Fun

October 24th, 2003 by

As they say…all work and no play…time for the weekend to relax and “sharpen the saw” as they say. While Waleed and his group will not have time to relax. The major assignment is due Monday 9:00 am sharp. Not a minute late. Hopefully, his group will complete the assignment early and be able to relax…I’m afraid, however, that most groups will not accomplish the task much before Sunday….

Getting a group all focused in the same direction is difficult…..it can be done but requires a common vision, mission and purpose….can it be done with Waleed’s group….I’ll keep you posted.

Dr. K

PS. Have a relaxing weekend and do something to promote personnel growth.

I ate a box of chocolates. I am growing as we speak.

    Sensei gives herself an A+!

  2. Waleed Says:

    You go Sensei Abez!

I’m a little puzzled by that as well. Doc wants me, all of us, to indulge in promoting “personnel growth”. I don’t really have a staff following me around, helping me live my life actually.
Nor do I have my own family that could possibly constitute as personnel.

I will however, try to go watch the fall filled river, of golden leaves and whatnots, dreaming of ways to fly.

    anywhere.

  3. Ibrahim Says:

Waleed, your oldest brother resembles the famous Egyptian actor Omar Sharif.

  4. Waleed Says:

    Ibrahim, I checked.
He got a haircut. It changed everything.

  5. yasmine Says:

haha I actually caught the “personnel” part, but I thought I’d be nice and not point it out. This makes me a nicer person than Waleed. Ha. :)

Ramadan’s coming up. All I can think of these days is personal growth. Tough, way tough.

  6. Waleed Says:

The lab lies full, silent conversations ongoing. Each terminal hosts infront of it a pair of strained eyes and tired mind.

I’ve been up for 20 hours now myself.
    Others, god alone knows.

All for Doc’s class, the most intensive class in the entire graduate program.

    May ramadan come soon.

    g’night everybody.
    shaba-khair.

  7. Dr. Karl Says:

Waleed, stop looking in the river and finish your assignment. This class is personnel (meaning growth as a team) and personal (meaning individual growth)…there are no typos….just hidden meanings.

  8. Waleed Says:

Thanks Doc. Not only didn’t I get to go look in the river to see what on earth floats this week, I’m here in the lab, on a beautiful day outside.

    Working for “the man”.

As for your assignment doc, we’re done. Printing and binding now. All done, won, lovely fun.
    Ha.

    Now gimme back my blog.

  9. Faiza Says:

Shouldn’t be pointing out your prof’s mistakes(especially when they aren’t even mistakes, but hidden messages of sorts) unless you wanna fail.

  10. chai Says:

don’t forget a whip. a good whip can do so much for focus.

  12. chai Says:

you know, running is so much fun. especially if you do it sporadically. you know, down hallways, in the living room, around the car, people [those familiar to you though]

  13. chai Says:

after reading my comment on owl’s comment on your life…i feel like running.
