and outside, it’s still raining
October 27th, 2003 byGrab crudely a black bic. Scratch madly on paper yellow, legal.
For words must come with a reason. Write notes to self scribbled. Tear them out, hide them in various different pockets for later discoveries.
Scatter infront a handful of envelopes. Thoughtlessly, spit out all known street addresses. First thought, haywired or not, black ink scrawls out.
Fold paper blindly, stuff envelop and seal immediately.
To be mailed without concern.
To all those interested, email/comment me and I’ll give you my street address for the notes.
Response back guaranteed.

I am confused.
We get letters?
I want a letter.
I gotta come back to this one and re-read. It’s almost my iftar time. Insha’Allah, I hope your Ramadan is going well so far, Waleed.

I’m not selling anything Adnan
Chai, stop drawing blanks on the wall.
And Yasmine, what i’m saying is this.
If interested: Make a note, whatever you’re thinking of at the moment. I’ll give you my mailing addy and you send it out.
And in return you get something from me.
See? Simple.

Oh.

There has been some confusion as to the details of this activity.
We rarely send out letters anymore, snail mail being a slow passing treasure of the past.
In a feeble effort to rekindle that, I suggested that those members of my audience interested enough, do this:
1) email me, asking me for my mailing address
2) send out a quick letter/note, whatever is on your mind at that moment.
3) upon receiving said letter, I will respond similarly.
That’s all. I thank all of you who have graciously emailed me so far and I’ll be in touch with all.
